ACROS Fukuoka Step Garden

Climb ACROS Mountain—a 14-level green terrace with 76 plant species and city views above Tenjin.
Locals call it "ACROS Mountain": a climbable vertical forest where tens of thousands of plants cascade down stepped terraces—an urban hike without leaving Tenjin.
Ascend from the north side: stone steps, a waterfall, and changing greenery make a peaceful 10–15 minute climb. Weekend rooftop hours open panoramas toward Hakata port, Fukuoka Tower, and on clear days Uminonakamichi.
Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (Mar–Oct); 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (Nov–Feb). Rooftop deck Sat–Sun & national holidays 10:00 AM–4:00 PM. Admission is free. Enter the garden from the south-side park at ground level—you cannot reach the terraces from inside the ACROS office tower.
Weekday mornings stay calm; gardens may close in severe weather.
From LOF HOTEL TENJIN SOUTH: walk about 800 m / 10–12 minutes northwest past Tenjin Chikagai toward the ACROS building. Taxi roughly 5 minutes, ¥600–¥800.
Trade the sidewalk for a short mountain climb—ACROS is the green reset button in the center of the city.
