Sun Yick Restaurant

A chaotic, hilarious, and utterly delicious theatrical dining experience that has captivated locals for over 30 years.
Tucked away in the unassuming streets of the Mong-Há district lies Sun Yick, a restaurant that defies all culinary conventions. It is an institution—a chaotic, hilarious, and utterly delicious theatrical experience. The owner, 'Ghost Chef Fai Chai', creates a menu that reads like absurdist poetry with dishes like 'Everyday I Love You More'.
Dining here is a show. You simply must order the famous Curry Giant Bread Bowl—a massive loaf of bread drilled open and filled with rich beef brisket curry. Other stars include the 'Healthy IV Drip Chicken' and the 'Sauna Shrimp' cooked on scorching hot stones. Despite the fun, the quality is serious with fresh ingredients and massive portions.
Insider Tips: Come with a group to share large dishes. Open until 4 AM daily, making it a perfect late-night spot. Reservations are highly recommended as queues can be long.
Getting from Greenery Inn: Take bus 12, 19, 22, or 28C to 'Kun Iam Tong Temple' or 'Mong-Há Terminal' (8-12 mins). It's also a very short 10-15 minute walk (600m) southeast on Estrada do Arco.
